NOVAR 1114 & 1214
Inovated line of automatic power factor controllers
NOVAR 1xxx-line power factor controllers (NOVAR 1106, NOVAR 1114, NOVAR 1206 and NOVAR 1214) are fully automatic instruments designed for optimal compensation of reactive power. They are suitable for PFC application which requires precise control even under low load. These new products are compatible (in terms of wiring) with previous line of NOVAR 1xx devices.
Installation of the controller uis fully automatic. Control is provided in all four quadrants and its speed depends on both control deviation value and its polarization (overcompensation / undercompensation). Connecting and disconnecting of power factor capacitors or reactors is carried out in such a way that the optimum compensation condition is achieved by a single control intervention and at minimum number of sections connected. At the same time, the instrument chooses relay sections with regard to their even load and preferably connects those that have been disconnected for the longest time and the remanent charge to achieve longer runtime of the system. Instrument is controlling the compensation system in a way to improve its life time. It also periodically tests the connected steps and provides immediate alarms on faulty sections for better maintenance.

NOVAR “/S400” Option
Controllers with “/S400” option such as the following model with order code NOVAR-1114/S400 do differ from standard versions of the NOVAR-11xx or NOVAR-12xx models in following aspects: The maximum power supply voltage is increased up to 500 V (both AC and DC) and the common contacts of relays is isolated and connected to additional terminals. The controllers with “/S400” option can be used at isolated networks (without neutral wire). Other features are identical to the of standard version of controller.
ENVIS application suite provides all features for basic instrument management (configuration, supervision, fw update). It also downloads and archives data from all the supported instruments. import/export, data analysis and advanced reporting of the records is also provided. ENVIS is available free of charge to be used with all our instruments.
ENVIS.Online system service can be used to implement complex power quality monitoring and/or energy efficienci control and monitoring systems. By using email, SMS or SNMP all registered users and administrators can be warned upon exeptional situations, malfunction of supply or monitored instruments or it can be used to post periodical analysis/reports.
Additional plugin modules can also add special features or customizations to booth ENVIS and ENVIS.Online in a modular manner.
